Jongno 5 is the only design office located in Gwangjang Market, one of the most energetic and stimulating areas of Seoul. Everybody loves to visit the area but nobody, beside fabric and food merchants, dares to work here. We do, and we transformed the top three floors of a building facing the Cheonggye Stream usually used for storage, into an interior and architecture lab. The project is a statement of our design research.

종로5는 서울의 가장 활기찬 시장 중 하나인 광장시장에서 유일하게 볼 수 있는 디자인 사무소이다. 모든 이들은 이 곳에 오는 것을 즐기지만, 섬유업자와 외식업자들을 제외하고는 그 누구도 감히 이곳에서 생각을 하지 못한다. 하지만 우리는 한다. 우린 보통 창고로만 사용되는 청계천에 면한 건물의 상부 세 층을 인테리어 건축설계 연구소로 탈바꿈 시켰다. 이 프로젝트는 우리 디자인 연구의 진술이라 할 수 있다.
