OPENS IN SEOUL
The Italian Institute of Culture in Seoul is now open. The goal of the renovation project was to facilitate the access of the public and provide a flexible space for activities and events. The new space revolves around two Paper Colosseums that will be used for meetings, language classes, performances, book presentations and movie screening. The monumental arenas are built with paper by Funnypaper, our trusted collaborator in many recent projects.
Thanks to the Italian Ambassador, Federico Failla and to the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture, Michela Linda Magrì for believing in us. Thanks to all the staff of the Italian Embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Seoul for the incredible support along the process.

서울에 있는 이탈리아 문화원이 이제 새롭게 문을 열었습니다. 리모델링 프로젝트의 목표는 대중의 접근을 용이하게 하고 활동과 행사를 위한 유연한 공간을 제공하는 것이었다. 새로운 공간은 회의, 언어 수업, 공연, 출판기념회 및 영화 상영에 사용될 두 개의 페이퍼(종이) 콜로세움을 중심으로 전개된다. 이 기념비적인 경기장은 최근 많은 프로젝트에서 함께한 우리가 신뢰하는 협력사, 퍼니페이퍼(Funnypaper)에 의해 골판지로 지어졌다.

MUNROVER
FOR METLING POTTERY
The MUN Rover, a movable display unit designed for the Munlab in Cambiano, is at work in the Torino city center. It is supporting the Melting Pottery Exhibition, a project from the MFA department of VCUarts Qatar on display at the Circolo del Design. Melting Pottery is a collection of interchangeable vases exploring cultural identities through computational design and digital fabrication. Each disk of the MunRover is hosting an hybrid vessel.
The Melting Pottery Exhibition at Circolo del Design will run from March 3rd until April 13th. If you want to know more about the MunRover, Melting Pottery and creative use of clay, visit the Munlab.

캄비아노(Cambiano)의 문랩(Munlab)을 위해 설계된 이동식 디스플레이 장치인 문로버(MunRover)가 토리노 도심에서 작동하고 있다. 치르콜로 델 디자인(Circolo del Design)에 전시된 카타르 버지니아 커먼웰스 대학 예술학교 (VCUarts Qatar)의 미술 석사(MFA) 프로젝트인 멜팅포터리전시(Melting Pottery Exhibition)을 지원하고 있다. 멜팅포터리(Melting Pottery)는 컴퓨터 디자인과 디지털 제작을 통해 문화적 정체성을 탐구하는 교체 가능한 꽃병 컬렉션이다. 문로버(MunRover)의 각 디스크는 하이브리드 선박을 호스팅하고 있다.

DUB REVOLUTION
OPENS IN GWANGJU
The 2021 Gwangju Design Biennale opened to the public on September 1, 2021. The International Pavilion is curated by Simone Carena (main curator) and Minji Kim (sub curator) and explores the team of DUB (dubbing).
Dubbing is the art of re-mixing a foreign source with local flavors, claiming a new originality, it is a creative Revolution that challenges international overlaps, generating diversity. As a musical technique, DUB was born in Jamaica in the 1950s, where new forms of music evolved from Blues to Mento, from Ska to Reggae. As a design strategy it is an ageless form of contamination and positive misunderstanding, and it is a trademark of MOTOElastico.
The artists and designers that were invited to present their work in the International Pavilion “dubbed” objects, sounds, garments, products and more. The results are displayed in an open setting that encourages exchanges and triggers creative associations. You are all welcome to visit the show and make your own dub version of it.

Studio 7 pre-opened in style in March 2021 in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museum. It was a great honor to receive her supportive visit.
Asma Derouiche, creative director of Studio 7, Tariq Al Jaidah, promoter of the initiative, and Marco Bruno, co-founder of MOTOElastico, presented to Her Excellency the vision of the project and the concept behind the space design. Studio 7 is the first of its kind for Doha: a cross cultural hub that will empower local and regional designers, bridging the gap between makers and local artisans and enhancing the Qatari cultural production.
The Studio 7 concept store is now open and it is located within M7, the new culture/design hub in the heart of the Msheireb district. Don’t miss it if you are in Doha or check out its products HERE
